The number of interactions you’d like with your coach each month will help you determine which option is best for you.

Personalized training plans with maximum coach contact.

Climb Strong coaching programs cater to climbers of all skill levels who want to maximize their potential with personalized training plans that easily integrate into their daily routines. You’ll collaborate with your coach to develop a long-term vision, a year-long program, and a targeted plan for the upcoming month, all accessible via our training app, which includes specific daily sessions with detailed videos and exercise descriptions.

On demand coaching for maximum flexibility.

Our most versatile coaching option allows climbers to take a self guided approach to their climbing, and then compare notes with a coach as needed. This service may also be useful for climbers using our other services who might need slightly more attention, allowing for flexibility in how much one on one time you get with your coach. This option also functions as a great supplement to those using Self-Guided Training Plans. Additional time is billed out at the $155 per hour rate, in 15 minute increments.

How It Works

At Climb Strong, we put you and your goals at the heart of everything we do. Getting started is quick and easy: we’ll learn more about your training experience and climbing goals to provide the personalized support you need. Once we know where you’re headed, you’ll choose the coaching level that suits your needs—whether you prefer more flexibility or regular check-ins with your coach. From there, our team will create a tailored training plan to help you reach your full potential and match you with the right coach.

Fill out our New Athlete Questionnaire

Filling out this quick form helps us understand your background, your goals, and match you with the right coach. At the end of the form, you'll pay a $65 initial consultation fee.

We’ll pair you with a coach and set up your initial consultation

Once you’ve completed the form, our coaching manager will review your questionnaire and match you with the right coach within 24 hours. You’ll receive a follow-up email with details and instructions to schedule your consultation, where we’ll dive deeper into your unique situation and goals.

How do I know if I’m ready to commit to training?

Training takes time, energy, and consistency. Consider whether you’re currently in a place to prioritize your training. Do you have access to training tools and/or a training facility? Are you feeling healthy, energetic, and injury-free? If this feels like the right time, let’s get started!

Is a structured program right for me?

Structured programs aren’t a magic bullet—they’re built on key principles like overload, individuality, specificity, and progression. Have you followed a well-organized plan in the past? Are you training with structure now? If not, starting with a template program from the Climb Strong App might be just what you need to boost your progress.

Do I need specific training goals?

"Getting better at climbing" is a great start, but that’s like saying you’re going to college to “be smarter.” Training works best with clear goals, and a specific vision will help guide your progress. Think about what you want to achieve in the next few months, this year, and even the next five years. What exactly do you want to improve? Having an answer to this question before you begin will make a big difference in your results.

How is weekly communication delivered?

We typically connect with athletes through video conferencing, using the platform that best suits them—most often Google Meet. This approach allows for face-to-face feedback and real-time adjustments to keep your training on track.

Can I track climbing grades and get progress reports?

Yes! We recommend two different mobile apps based on how you’ll interact with Climb Strong. For our coaching programs, we use the Trainerize platform, which focuses on strength and conditioning. For self-guided programs and tracking specific climbing data like routes and grades, we partner with the Sequence Training app. The Climb Strong mobile app uses the Sequence platform to provide customizable daily reminders and weekly progress reports. This setup allows both you and your coach to monitor your progress and keep training on track.

Can I send videos to my coach for feedback throughout the program?

Absolutely. Videos from your climbing and training sessions are extremely helpful for our coaches to provide detailed feedback during remote coaching. Sharing videos also helps us understand your unique style and approach. We pride ourselves on strong coach-athlete communication, and video feedback is a big part of that.

How do your yearly and monthly plans work?

Our yearly programs are structured over 13 months. The first 12 months outline your primary goals for the year, while the 13th month is reserved for recovery, allowing us to adapt the schedule if unforeseen circumstances arise. We break the 12 months into specific phases, focusing on three-month blocks, with each month detailed and tailored to your needs. Check-ins with your coach allow adjustments to keep the plan on track and aligned with your goals.

Do you have specific testing as part of onboarding? Do you test mobility as well?

We tailor testing to the individual athlete’s needs. If testing for mobility, strength, power, or endurance is appropriate, we’ll include it as part of the onboarding process. We also retest at the end of each cycle to monitor consistency, progression, or regression. Ultimately, the type of testing depends on the athlete and their goals, but we have the expertise and tools to test in any relevant way.

How often do you retest athletes or adjust training?

We typically retest athletes at the end of each training cycle, though the frequency can vary based on the athlete’s experience and specific goals. In many cases, we might test once a month. However, most adjustments to your training will come from our discussions, where we assess how things are progressing and make real-time changes as needed.

What’s the timing and availability to start training with a coach?

We can match you with a coach at any time. Currently, our team has great availability, so we can get you started as soon as you’re ready.

Is the training designed to consider the athlete’s age and recovery needs?

Yes. All of our training programs are custom-built, taking the athlete’s age and recovery needs into account. We focus on creating a plan that supports your specific goals, adjusting intensity and recovery to ensure progress while maintaining a healthy, sustainable approach.

I coach a team at my local gym and would like to work with you to design programs for our youth athletes. Do you offer this service?
